Sharyn lives and works in beau­ti­ful Alberta, Canada where she writes pic­ture books and mid­dle grade fic­tion. Her love of books began with favourites like Blue­ber­ries for Sal and Made­line. Later she moved on to devour the Nancy Drew mys­ter­ies and Black Stal­lion series. She still dreams of rac­ing that amaz­ing horse down a deserted beach!

Her love of books led to a career as children’s librar­ian where the delight of chil­dren dis­cov­er­ing the magic of read­ing inspired her to begin find­ing her own sto­ries. She is a grad­u­ate of the Insti­tute of Children’s Lit­er­a­ture, a mem­ber of SCBWI and a pub­lished author.

When she’s not read­ing or writ­ing Sharyn wran­gles gar­den fairies, prac­tices yoga and is still learn­ing to inter­pret the lan­guage of her story chan­nelling cats.
